Mubi continues charging after cancellation of account. I want money reimbursed!!!
I noticed that Mubi was taking money out of my account every month. I cancelled my subscription last month, but they have charged me this month again. On their website I can't find any way of contacting them directly. Could anybody help me with this please? I want the money reimbursed.

A subscriber now for about 5 years
I've been a subscriber now for about 5 years. I pay something like £100 a year. I don't subscribe to any of the plebby services like Netflux or Amazon.
For me the presentation of the service is fine: the visual and audio quality are absolutely fine, as far as I can see. You have ABSOLUTELY NO ADVERTS, and not even (thank God) "others who liked this also liked that". None of that vile intrusiveness which, usually, you can't even pay to opt out of with all other broadcasters.
I also quite like the idea of a new film a day, which generally lasts for 30 days (though I realise that about 2 years ago they also added a library consisting of literally hundreds of films).
The one niggle I have with Mubi, and it's a pretty big one, is the artistic quality of the films. It's not enough for a film to be foreign (non English language in my case) for it to be good, or even for it to be by Chabrol for it to be good. I would say I probably filter out 75% of all films just looking at the title/synopsis, and of those I do start watching I probably stop watching after about 5 or 10 minutes with 60 or 70%.
The problem is that they are obviously paying very little to lease these films from the rights-holders, and the reasons for this are, it appears, that these are second- or third-rank films, for the most part.
Occasionally you do find gems, however, quite often from decades ago: in particular I think there are films that were "first-rank" in their time, but now have unjustly fallen out of favour. It is this category that makes me keep subscribing year after year. If the subscription went over £2 a week, however, I'd probably stop.

Nope
They advertise films they don't actually have. Terrible service.

Not worth the money
Not worth the money. The service isn't great, customer service didn't help with my issues, and definitely not worth the investment. There are great movies and content to watch elsewhere.

I have been charged for a year for a membership. with no invoices or receipts... I forgot to cancel it and never used it. And they refused to refund if of course. Fair enough, but not nice...

Signed up after MUBI said it had movie I wanted to watch. After going through whole tedious process including giving my credit card details, it turned out that movie was actually 'unavailable'. So very boring. Used to this from Netflix, had hoped for better. Very disappointed and angry at waste of my time.

Mubi.com loves money, not movies.
Mubi.com took money from my account via a rarely-used debit card for seven months and refused to issue a refund even though I never once used the service because I believe it had been cancelled.
I cancelled early on a free offer and they carried on billing me without sending any bills, invoices or notification. I'm going on twitter and Facebook to warn my 25K film-maker friends. If it's free and it's from Mubi it probably isn't free.
One star is too many
One star is too many. I subscribed, apparently, without even being aware. First I knew was months down the line on my credit card statement. They refused to refund fully. I have no idea what they do but the way they go about it is totally out of order

Some great films but frequent frozen images.
I’ve seen some great films on MUBI since I signed up about 6 months ago. All those I’ve wanted have been available. But most films freeze multiple times while I’m watching. This is a big minus.

Good movies
Good movies. I signed up with Amazon Prime so it's easy to cancel if I decide to. That's why I always use an outside provider.

No scam. People are being dim
There no scam. People do not know the difference between 'Pause Subscription' and 'Cancel Subscription'. People are complaining on Trust Pilot after their *pause* time has ended.
To cancel MUBI is very simple. You just need to READ what is on the screen.
We live in a culture where people don't look at themselves frist and take responsibility for their error. Always blaming others or cooperations
The films I would expect from MUBI aren't there at the moment. There's no Romain Duris movies, no Vanessa Paradis movies, no movies staring Gerard Depardie or Daniel Auteuil. - The two legends in French cinema.
